I was once visiting a retail store where an older gentleman named Tony sold goods and services to musicians. He was one of those people who never dream of retirement because he liked working...A large chain came into town with cheaper products that could have based on price alone run Tony out of business. What kept him going was the relationships he had built with customers over the years, willingness to go the extra mile and knowledgability that was unmatched.

A sign hung behind his register that read, "The sweetness of a very low price lingers less than the bitterness of poor service." I have never forgotten that.
